Eastin Hotel’s raving staff party
It was time of the year again for staff of the Eastin Hotel Penang to unwind and let their hair down at their “Let’s Dance Hip-Hop” party held recently.
In keeping with the night’s theme, the employees were all dressed in jeans, jackets, matching scarves and caps to partake in the evening’s programme.
Opening the night was the welcoming address by the hotel’s general manager Justin Chew to welcome the top management of the hotel and his charges.
Among the special guests were their chairman Datuk CP Tan and his wife Datin Jean Yeo.
“We are here to celebrate the achievements of the company and staff and also to look forward to more successful years to come,” said Chew.
He later joined hands with those celebrating their birthdays in the month of Octobers along with the representatives of the top management to perform the cake cutting ceremony and champagne popping ceremony.
Loyal long-serving employees and those who had not taken medical leave were also rewarded for their dedication at the gathering.
The highlight was the inter-department talent competition and individual talent showcase in freestyle dance moves.
Eventually, the lively Food & Beverage Department excelled overall with the team from the Front Office taking second placing and the Maintenance Department taking third spot.
Meanwhile, Hasrulzaire Che Hassan from the F&B Dept and Steven Yew from the Front Office were adjudged with the best employee award.
A lucky draw session offered electronic items like fridge, washing machine, bicycle, television sets and iphone 7 for the lucky winner.
