Ipoh Fashion Week
Six-year-old Lauren Natasha Campbell will be one of the models taking on the catwalk at the inaugural International Ipoh Fashion Week (IIFW) 2017 from Oct 6 to 8, 2017, in Ipoh.
Although young, this Singapore-based lass has participated in numerous pageants and posed for numerous commercial engagements and shows internationally.
She had taken part in the “Fox Factor Model Search 2015”, “Face of the Globe Finalist 2016 ” in Paris and “Li’l Tot Asia Globe 2016”.
Lauren has also taken part in pageant in Texas in the United States, Kerala in India and is expected to travel to Bulgaria in August 2017 for an international pageant.
Some 30 designers and professional models taking the catwalk are from Kazakhstan, China, Laos, Cambodia, Pakistan, India, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
The curtain raiser grand dinner will be held at the Syuen Hotel in Ipoh entitled “Night of Glamour and Glitter” hosted by Tourism Perak.
Among the sponsors are Perak Tourism, Syuen Hotel, Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS), where2 Travel & Lifestyle magazine, Khal Hair Salon Sdn Bhd, Silver Kreatif Sdn Bhd, Maya’s, 7Days Flower and Hairdressing Skills Development Association (HSDA).
Proceeds from the extravaganza will be channelled to the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh’s Paediatric Care Unit as part of the organising committee’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) effort.
IIFW chief executive officer Louis Sebastian hopes that more local corporate firms will come on board to make the grand event a show-stopper and put Ipoh on the global fashion map.
“Ipoh has many talented and beautiful ladies who are capable to take on the world fashion industry, we hope IIFW will pave the way for them to make their name in the international scene,” added Louis.
Meanwhile, Miss Global Intercontinental Malaysia 2016 pageant winner Olivia Nicholas, a lawyer, will feature on the catwalk for the IIFW while socialite Caroline Wong is the official ambassador for the glamorous event.
