International Ipoh Fashion Week 2017 

The momentum for the International Ipoh Fashion Week 2017 (IIFW) organised in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2017 is moving into top gear with more and more international fashion designers and models signing up for the good cause.

The inaugural showcase is expected to feature fashion designers from Australia, China, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Laos,  Indonesia, Thailand, Russia, Philippines and other countries.

Proceeds from the event will go to help needy children in the Paedriatric Care Unit of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh.

A roadshow to promote the fashion week held recently at the Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur revealed the finer details of the event which was attended by Perak Tourism Exco Datuk Nolee Ashilin along with IIFW convenor Louis Sebastian.

The opening gala dinner will be held at the Syeun Hotel, Ipoh, on Oct 6 with the theme of “Night of Glamour and Glitter”. This will be followed with the IIFW Runway Fashion Fashion Showcase on Oct 7 from 8pm to 11pm.

The closing ceremony will be held on Oct 8 at the Movie Animation Park Studio (MAPS) with another fashion extravaganza.

“Several Perak-born celebrity artistes and music producers will lend support to the prestigious event. Among them is Taiwan-based Vic Teo.

Pakistani singer Gul Muhammad will also feature at the showcase.
