Head to its cosmopolitan restaurant, Tide, to savour the gastronomical delights where newly-appointed Jiro Ho Chia Wei who is the Chef De Cuisine will surely spring a surprise.

Chef Jiro has created a brand new menu with his knack for pairing creativity and delicacy in his servings of western cuisine.

One of his signature dishes is Land and Sea Combination of Half Grilled Lobster with Char Grilled Black Angus Prime Beef Tenderloin, served with Asian-style couscous and buttered asparagus.

A culinary veteran, Chef Jiro brings more than a decade of hospitality experience to the 222-room-and-villa luxury resort, and aims to transform Tide’s dining offerings with his skills and passion.

In his new role, Chef Jiro is set to take charge in culinary endeavors, heading day-to-day operations. He is also be tasked in developing and executing inspired new recipes and menus befitting Westin brand, aside from training and managing the culinary team to tap their potential.

“I am looking forward to blending my love of fresh and locally sourced ingredients in Langkawi with the various techniques I have acquired in my experience. With our new wholesome menu, we have struck the balance of creativity and delicacy,” said Chef Jiro.

Prior to joining The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, he has served as Chef De Cuisine at The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort Langkawi, DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, and The Westin Kuala Lumpur, where he started as Chef De Partie and eventually moved up through the ranks.
