Sesame Street in town

This Christmas, Sesame Street fans can greet Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert, Ernie, Oscar and friends up-close at the Gurney Paragon Mall for the largest Christmas celebration in Malaysia.

The event will be on from Dec 1 to to Jan 2, 2017, the ‘Christmas In Sesame Street’ campaign has transformed Gurney Paragon Mall into an enchanted wonderland with white Christmas trees, festive light display, plasma car play land, giant slide, colourful ball pool, as well as Christmas musical performances and appearances by Sesame Street’s very own stars – Elmo & Cookie Monster.

Christmas carols and Sesame Street’s theme songs are played as shoppers enter the mall.

With everything from Christmas trees to beautiful ornaments, festive holiday music to Christmas performances, Elmo to Cookie Monster, Christmas in Sesame Street is where holiday memories are made.

“Christmas is celebrated in the most extraordinary way every year at Gurney Paragon Mall where the mall’s atrium is transformed into a giant themed play land.

“Not only targeting toddlers and children, the Sesame Street-themed Christmas event also promises to bring back the grown-ups’ fondest childhood memories of their favourite muppets in the most popular children’s television series,” says director Lily Tan.

Gurney Paragon Mall recently bagged the silver award for the Best Experiential Marketing 2016 organised by Malaysia Shopping Malls Association (PPK Malaysia) for its previous Pink October campaign whereby the largest handmade teddy bear in Malaysia is being placed in the mall to create awareness amongst the shoppers on the importance of breast cancer prevention.

With a minimum spend of RM200 in a single receipt, shoppers can redeem a pair of passes to the Sesame Street play land, which is open for kids from four to 12 years old. Not only this, the first 100 Gurney Paragon Card members will also receive an exclusive Sesame Street cinch bag.

The Christmas cheer is followed by Christmas carolling, Christmas performances, Santa Claus and Santarina appearances who will delight shoppers with magical songs, performances and candy give-aways.

Parents who are hunting for dolls and toys as Christmas gifts for their children can visit the toys warehouse sale at St. Jo’s Level 3 from now till Jan 2.

Children’s favourite toys like Ben 10, Thundercats, Transformers, Furby, minions and etc are sold at bargain prices.
