E&O HOTEL PENANG’S MEDIA APPRECIATION NIGHT 2016

E&O Hotel Penang Media Appreciation Night 2016 was held on 18March 2016. The annual event saw the attendance of local and foreign representatives, from newspapers, magazines, to online bloggers.

Favourite activities held during the event were karaoke competition and lucky draws. Among the prizes were 3D2N stay at E&O Hotel worth RM2500+ and 3D2N stay at Lone Pine Hotel Penang worth RM2000+.

E&O general manager, Michael Saxon, thanked all media representatives for their continuous support to the hotel.

While the event officially concluded at 10.30pm, the party still went on till midnight.

Hin Bus Depot Sunday Pop Up Market is a platform for entrepreneurs, small business owners, crafters, artisans, musicians, performers and makers to showcase their products, crafts and talent. HBD strongly believe in supporting these small businesses in the community.

REJOICE AND GIVE THANKS FOR 40 YEARS OF GRACE

In conjunction with their 40th anniversary celebration, Mount Miriam has planned out 2 fundraising events. “Ko Kah Ho Chiak Ko Kah Ho Liao”, the 5th edition to the “Ho Chiak” series will be held on the 24April 2016 (Sunday) in the hospital’s ground from 10.00am – 3.00pm.

The second fundraising event is the 2nd in the series of Charity Fun Run after Bone to Run Charity Fun Run last year which is scheduled for September doubling up to promote prostate cancer awareness.

#WECANICAN – WORLD CANCER DAY 2016 CAMPAIGN

The Global cancer epidemic is huge and set to rise. Mount Miriam Hospital recorded a gradual upsurge of new cases diagnosed with the top five cancers in Malaysia. Urgent action needs to be taken to raise awareness about the disease and to develop practical strategies to address the cancer burden.

World Cancer Day which is internationally observed on 4th February is the perfect time to do this. Just as cancer affects everyone in different ways, everyone has the power to take action to reduce the impact of the disease on individuals, families and communities.

LIO CHEUNG “HERE I STAND” ART EXHIBITION

G Hotel Gurney is honored to host Lio Cheung, an independent Hong Kong based artist for her first ever exhibition in Malaysia. Lio Cheung presents a set of impressive works under the theme “Here I Stand”, demonstrating how the external environment affected her daily life in Hong Kong.

Her exhibition of artworks at G Hotel Gurney will be from 1February 2016 till 30April 2016 at G Art Gallery, Link Bridge at Level 1. The official launching of the exhibition was held on 1February 2016 at the same venue from 6pm to 7pm where Lio Cheung showcased and explained in detail about her artworks and performed a 10 minutes painting gimmick.

Her art pieces are all available for sale. The price of her artworks will range between RM8,000 to RM16,000. Those interested in her art pieces may approach the reception counter for inquiries.

TROPICAL SPICE GARDEN OPEN DAY

Tropical Spice Garden Cooking School held an Open Day, filled with fun activities for both adults and children. The event held on 19March has gathered a lot of cooking enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

The 10am to 5pm event was packed with various free cooking classes and demos handled by seasoned chefs. Among the favourites were Nasi Ulam class with Nyonya Su Pei and pastry baking demo with Chef Nazeri.

There were also kids’ activities such as wonton wrapping class, clay tapir making session, and others. Visitors were also taken for a complimentary guided tour.
