Whisky for the discerning drinker

Whisky for the discerning drinker

This is only for those who will drink nothing less than the single malt Scotch whisky. A new range of their favourite tipple has just hit the market.

One of the new arrivals is the Old Pulteney – aged over 12 years or 17 years. The other is the premium Balblair single malt whisky.

Old Pulteney 17 years

Both whiskies, from Scotland, are perfect for an evening in the company of good friends.

“The Old Pulteney is easy to drink. It’s palatable either on the rocks or neat,” says William Chong, the regional sales manager for AsiaEuro Wines & Spirits Sdn Bhd, which is marketing the new whiskies in Malaysia.

Balblair 1999

“The Balblair comes in two choices – one bottled in 1999 and the other in 2005. It is ‘heavy’ and should be taken with a splash of filtered water,” Chong adds.

The Old Pulteney goes for RM495 for the 12-year-old variety and RM580 for the 17-year-old.

The Year 2005 Balblair goes for RM690 per bottle and Year 1999 goes for RM1,000.
