Nickelodeon finds home in Sunway Lagoon
The first Nickelodeon themed attraction in Asia, the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon, has been opened to public on 3 February 2016. The park is located within a ten acre of lush tropical rainforest that was previously hidden to the public.
This joint initiative between Sunway Group and Viacom International Media Networks is a new addition to Sunway Lagoon’s five existing parks, namely Water Park, Amusement Park, Extreme Park, Interactive Wildlife Park, and Lynton V Harris Scream Park.
Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon promises the experience of an explorer with its 14 immersive attractions. Some are themed with Nickelodeon’s hit properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Right from the start, “explorers” will have to climb the “ancient temple” steps, passing pineapple columns and intricate carvings leading all the way up to a magnificent SpongeBob SquarePants structure. The adventure continues with geysers, sprouting water cannons, walks along cascading falls, and gooey moments with the signature green slime, which use the latest reactive technology.
Running deeper into the forest, explorers will find suspended bridges over rivers along with more and more thrilling ‘wet and wild’ activities as well as gravity defying rides that twist around trees and hills.
Putting the action-packed adventure aside, those who wish to chill and relax with their loved ones could do so at the Explorers Campsite. This is also a good spot to have a picnic or feast with family and friends. For those who fancy a fine dining while feasting their eyes with breathtaking views of natural greeneries, the Lakeside restaurant is definitely the place to go. Plus, you might be accompanied by your favourite Nickelodeon characters, wandering around and greeting everybody they meet.
Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon opens from 10am to 6pm everyday. Bring your family and loved ones to experience the fun!
