Non-profit medical institution Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH) is organizing a fund-raising event for the 3rd time which is to go bald for charity this coming July 16 at the hospital premises.

This event is open to everyone to chip in their efforts to raise funds to help the needy.

PAH charity manager Jenny Ooi said owing to the good response from its previous two events, the hospital has decided to bring it back for the 3rd time.

“Our aim to encourage 500 people to go bald to raise about RM1,000,000 for charity.

Dr. J. Earl Gardner (founder of Penang Adventist Hospital) along with his wife, Ethel Swing-Gardner and their two daughters.

“The main purpose is to fill the Dr. J. Earl Gardner’s fund to help needy patients to undergo major surgery such as amputation,” she added.

Participants from various states can join this worthy cause by going bald at the same time.

“For those who successfully took part in this charity event by going bald or trimming their hair will get a goody bag, T-shirt and a certificate each,” she said. Registration fees of RM35 each is required. A mini food fair will be held on the same day.

Donations can be made to Adventist Hospital & Clinic Services (M) and its AmBank (M) Bhd account number 082-201-200231-6.
