Annual bash for hotel staff
Some 200 employees of the Bayview Hotel Georgetown had a chance to let their hairs down and unwind at their annual dinner recently.
The event at the hotel’s ballroom was held in conjunction with the hotel’s 30th anniversary. Hotel manager Lynn Choong was seen dressed to the theme of the night in black, white and gold.
The occasion also showcased hidden talents of the staff with their impressive performances.
Outstanding staff were rewarded for their long service and contributions to the city hotel.
Among them were Abdul Halim Othman, Wan Uzir Yusof, Noor Samsuri, Mariani Omar, Kenny Lee and Sharon Choo.
Emcee for the night, Gilbert Khoo, had the audience in stitches with his antics. This was followed by party games and talent show.
In her short speech, Choong thanked staff for their loyal service and called upon them to strive harder the coming year.
“All of you are the backbone of the hotel and the management wishes to take this opportunity to convey our heartfelt thanks for your contributions,” she added.
She thanked the organising committee for putting up an enjoyable and memorable gathering for all to remember.
The highlight of the evening was the lucky draw session with the top prize of a flat screen TV set.
The night ended on a high note with staff taking to the dance floor to boogey the night away.
